Two Camargue Mares on the beach: original oil painting, 18x24x1.5 cm

Two horses from the Camargue make contact on the beach. Camargue horses are an ancient breed, used for herding cattle in the marshy areas of Southern France. I love the special interactions between horses. They are so strong, but - perhaps precisely because of that - they often treat each other with such enormous care and sensitivity. A lovely little painting to capture this emotion.
