Welcome to Eveline Menke Art

Thank you for stopping by. I'd love to tell you a bit more about myself and the inspiration behind my work!

My love for animals, nature, and the outdoors forms the foundation of everything I create. In a busy world often disconnected from nature, I seek moments of peace, presence, and connection. These are the moments I try to capture in my paintings.

 

Whether I'm painting a horse, a red deer, a cow, or a bunch of tomatoes, I am always searching for the tranquility, character, and uniqueness of my subject. This way, a painting not only adds to an interior but can also bring a moment of stillness and wonder.

I developed the technical foundation of my painting during the Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute. There, I not only delved into painting techniques, composition, and color theory, but also increasingly discovered my own artistic voice and the deeper motivation behind my choice of subjects. Nowadays, I primarily work with oil paint and mixed media on canvas. In the summer, I enjoy alternating this with watercolors, where the same atmosphere of being present in the moment is central.

Together with my husband and daughter, I live in a farmhouse in the Veluwe. The landscape, the seasons, and the animals around us inspire me anew every day. Much of what I see and experience outdoors eventually finds a place on the canvas. This is how paintings are created that combine my love for nature and the outdoors.

In addition to working in my studio, I regularly participate in exhibitions and art routes.

In addition to original paintings, many of my works are also available as high-quality fine art prints, so that more people can bring a piece of that tranquility and connection into their own homes.
